Ewerton lacerda

Ewerton brings over a decade of strategic expertise in international education, with a focus on building high impact recruitment pipelines across Latin America. At just 22, he led the Americas portfolio at Conestoga College, scaling enrolment from 7 to over 200 students per year. A Brazilian native who has lived in Canada for 16 years, Ewerton lives and breathes Latin American culture, spending months each year in countries like Mexico and Colombia, where he’s often mistaken as a local.

He founded Start Global in 2019 to give institutions a smarter, more scalable way to recruit. Since then, he’s helped colleges and universities launch in new markets, set up full recruitment operations, and even implement Canadian curriculum in Brazil and Mexico. Highlights include launching Sault College’s LATAM presence from scratch and leading North Island College’s first successful student intakes in the region.

Ed Santos

With over 30 years of experience in the international education sector, Ed is a recognized leader in global student recruitment and Canadian immigration strategy. He founded one of the largest Canadian-based agencies in Latin America, operating offices in both Brazil and Mexico and helping more than 1,000 students annually pursue studies in Canada.

Ed has led top-performing sales teams for major multinational school networks and is also a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC). Having lived in Canada for over two decades and previously in the U.S. He brings a unique cross-border perspective to every initiative. He is also the founder and organizer of Expo Canada, a flagship international education event in Latin America that continues to connect thousands of students with Canadian institutions each year.
